Mariah Carey has made some iconic remarks concerning many concepts and even people by disregarding their existence. The elusive chanteuse apparently doesn't acknowledge time either. While she partook in the 10 year challenge, Carey made a point about her timelessness. She uploaded a photoset of two identical pictures of herself with her puppy. The shots of the bikini-clad songstress are captioned to explain her stance: "I don't get this 10 year challenge, time is not something I acknowledge. *Picture taken at some point prior to today." The entertainer has previously spoken on the subject. In 2014, she admitted to her dislike of birthday celebrations. “… I don’t count years but I definitely rebuke them,” said Carey. “I have anniversaries, not birthdays because I celebrate life, darling.” In her mind, she is perpetually youthful. “Darling, I’m eternally 12 years old,” she declared.
A year later, she expressed similar sentiments. “I think I have to remain eternally oblivious to age,” she shared. “Honestly, when you put a number on it yourself, it’s just like, why? Why do that?” Her views might have something to do with how gracefully she is aging.
