Spotlight 29 Casino Presents Tribute To Selena

PALM DESERT, CA - From Spotlight 29 Casino: Spotlight 29 Casino is proud to present Los Chicos del 512: The Selena Experience on Saturday, July 28th at 8 p.m.in the Spotlight Showroom. Fronted by vocalist Evelyn Molina, Los Chicos del 512 has been performing the music of the late Tejano singer for over 15 years, bringing an authentic tribute to her devoted fans across the country. Featuring Ricardo Madrid (keyboards), Martin Peralta (guitar), Jesus Cordova (bass), Alex Yanez and Jimmy Arce (percussion), and Mario Hernandez (drums), these amazing musicians instantly transport audiences back to the 1990s with the opening notes of "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom."

Selena Quintanilla ("the Queen of Tejano") was one of the most celebrated Mexican-American entertainers of the 20th century, and today she is recognized as one of the most influential Latin artists of all time. Her posthumous crossover album, Dreaming of You (featuring the hit title track), debuted atop the Billboard 200, making Selena the first Latin artist to accomplish such a feat. Selena was memorably portrayed by Jennifer Lopez in the 1997 film about her life, earning her legions of new fans. Selena's albums have sold over 65 million copies to date, making her the top female artist in Latin American history.
