It was good to read about the benefits that artificial intelligence (AI) can bring to Maine and, indeed the world, according to “Maine gets taste of artificial intelligence” (Jan. 28). It seems that AI might someday be running the world’s affairs.
My only concern about AI is that artificial intelligence will be greater than the intelligence being displayed by those humans in charge of the world as it is today. What with the wall-to-wall wars, mass shootings, police brutality, hate crimes, destructive greed and next to worthless health care currently being administered, I just hope that this artificial intelligence will act more intelligently than those humans who are developing it.
