The Scottish woman, who lives in Glasgow, recently took to the video sharing platform to share how she makes her very own version of Costa’s cheese and ham toastie in an air fryer.

So if you’re a fan of Costa’s food and want to know how to make your own at home, it’s time to start making notes.

And according to this food whizz, she has a simple secret to get the best tasting toastie - béchamel sauce.

She said: “I’ve completed the year of the sandwich with a Costa ham and cheese toastie.

“Just using shop bought béchamel for this one, it’s Dolmio creamy lasagne sauce.

“Spread that on both sides of the bread, add some gammon and then a mix of mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

“Close it over and top it with more creamy lasagne sauce and cheese on top and that’s how you achieve that crispy, cheesy finish.

“Into the air fryer for ten minutes at 180 degrees celsius.

“Look at that.”

Lauren’s toastie looks mouth-wateringly good and if you’ve joined the air fryer crew, this is definitely one worth trying.

TikTok users were clearly impressed by the clip, as it has quickly gone viral and has racked up a whopping 2.2million views.

It has 98.8k likes, 1,347 comments and 13.7k shares.

Food fans loved the look of the toastie and were eager to try the recipe themselves.

One person said: “Oh I’m trying that for sure with just a wee touch of mustard.”

Another added: “Omg that looks divine” to which Lauren confirmed “it was.”

A third commented: “That is looking awesome!”
