Drunk Man Falls Asleep In McDonald's Drive-Through: Police

Police said that the man failed standard field sobriety tests, and could not locate his wallet even though it was in his lap.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police say a drunk driver who fell asleep in the McDonald's drive-through was so intoxicated he couldn't find the wallet that was in his lap.

Oak Creek police responded to the McDonald's at 9471 S. 13th St. just after 3 a.m. on March 25 on a report of a driver who passed out in the McDonald's drive-through.

According to police reports, a McDonald's employee called police after seeing that a man passed out in the drive-through and was unable to be woken up by fellow employees. The vehicle was running and was still in drive, the caller said to police.

Police responded, and were able to wake him up - yet found that he was not in need of medical care, according to reports. According to reports, police say that the man had bloodshot eyes, and had an odor of both alcohol and marijuana coming from him and the cabin of his car.

Police said that the man failed standard field sobriety tests, and could not locate his wallet even though it was in his lap, and pointed out several times by a police officer.

According to reports, he was subjected to a preliminary breath test, which recorded a 0.13 blood alcohol concentration - greater than the legal limit for operating while intoxicated in Wisconsin.

Reports stated that a search of his vehicle turned up a bag of marijuana and a glass pipe inside the vehicle.
