The Pfizer bivalent booster - which offers protection against Omicron - is now available for people over 30-years-old.
People wanting the jab must have had their last booster dose or Covid infection at least six-months-ago.
Auckland University's Helen Petousis-Harris says it's beneficial for reducing infections and hospitalisations, particular for those with medical conditions.
She says it's important for people to be able to access it, and have the choice of getting themselves boosted.
