EARLIER COVERAGE:

An endangered silver advisory alert from Tuesday evening was elevated Wednesday into a missing person case.

Jo Ann Stephens, 63, was last seen walking from her residential care facility in the 1800 block of Crader Drive to a nearby gas station and the McDonalds at 1918 Jefferson Street.

She reportedly told staff where she was going, but missed her medication window and hasn't been seen since.

The facility staff is concerned she may be experiencing a medical emergency without her medication. She is diagnosed with schizophrenia, bipolar disorder and seizure disorder.

She's white, stands around 5 feet 4 inches tall and weights 157 pounds. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion. She was last seen wearing a blue sweater, a pink camisole and blue jeans.

The advisory was updated to a missing person around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The Jefferson City Police Department said in a Wednesday news release it does not believe Stephens is in immediate danger, but still has not located her.

Anyone who sees Stephens should dial 911 or 573-634-6400 to report her location to the JCPD.
