Ann Elizabeth (Wood) Truax

FL - Truax, Ann Elizabeth (née Wood), formerly of Erin, NY passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at The Oaks in Avon Park, FL. Ann was born July 27, 1930 in Tioga, PA, and moved to Elmira where she met and married Clifton A. Truax in Elmira Heights in February 1952, and he passed away in 2016.

Ann's faith was important to her, always active in her church, and a church organist for over 50 years. She loved knitting, reading and doing word search puzzles.

Ann is survived by her son Gordon (Amy) , Breesport, NY; grandsons, Joshua (Vicki), Horseheads, NY, Jason (Rockelle), Elmira, NY; 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great granddaughter. Several nieces and nephews. Sisters in law, Barbara Truax and Esther Truax Barr.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brothers, Joseph and Paul Wood; sisters, Dorothy Sumner, Leona Treat, Betty Colony and Barbara Kraft. Brothers in law, Gerald and Ronald Truax.
