Sovereign Foods is seeking to employ a Stores Controller for its stores in the Agriculture division. The incumbent will be required to manage all operations relating to the stores to support the Agri operations. This will include maintaining adequate stock levels, usage history, lead times and effective stock control processes. This position reports to the Finance Manager. The ideal incumbent will be in possession of a grade 12 certificate and/or relevant qualification in distribution management, computer literacy with specific reference to MS Excel Intermediate proficiency and two years’ experience in managing a store/warehouse with a small team. Experience in Syspro will be considered as advantageous. A driver’s license & own transport is essential to meet the demands of operational requirements. This will require flexible working hours and standby duties.

Results Required
• Establish and maintain an effective and measurable housekeeping system
• Ensure compliance with all related BRC processes and procedures
• Implement and manage an effective system that continuously strives to prevent out-of-stock situations. Maintain a register of critical spares based on operational requirements and long lead times.
• Have a stock accuracy trend and GRN receive strike rate of 99%.
• Ensure all stock items are stored in an adequate environment where the functionality of quality of items is not compromised
• Maintain accurate and effective levels of stock for M3 warehouse
• Ensure accurate stock management and ordering system in place to support timely replenishment of stock.
• Manage and motivate subordinates
• Be a custodian of data integrity on accuracy and completeness of data capturing
