Two Madisonville Residents Charged with Shoplifting

The Princeton Police Department has been busy investigating shoplifting complaints at Wal-Mart in recent days.
According to Assistant Police Chief Shane Allison, an investigation on June 17 led to charges against two Madisonville residents. The police report said 54-year-old Gregory Childress and 60-year-old Gloria Sisk entered Walmart and loaded $697 worth of merchandise into their cart and left the store without paying.
Both were located and police asked them to come to the police department for a follow-up investigation. Sisk came to the police department on Thursday and was issued a citation for complicity to theft over $500.
Police said Childress did not come to the police department. A warrant was issued for Childress charging him with third-degree burglary since he had previously received a trespass warning not to return to the Walmart. Madisonville Police arrested Childress on the warrant on Friday.
Meanwhile, Princeton Police charged 27-year-old Joseph Davis with theft under $500 following a shoplifting complaint at the Walmart on Thursday. Police said an investigation determined Davis took $127 of merchandise from the store over a period of time dating back to April 21. Davis was cited to court on the theft charge.
