The WEIRDEST things thrown on stage: From ashes and cheese being lobbed at Pink to Harry Styles slipping on a kiwi... the very odd things chucked at stars as Adele warns fans against it

Adele has warned fans against throwing objects on stage during singer's performance after a fan threw ashes at Pink during her show.

The singer, 35, paused her recent Las Vegas show to heap criticism on the trend of concert-goers lobbing objects at stars while they are on stage.

The trend dates back years, with eager fans famously throwing their underwear at musicians during concerts to show admiration, but it has now made a resurgence.

But concert-goers are increasingly throwing a whole host of bizarre objects on stage, with a fan unusually deciding to chuck her mother's ashes at Pink.

From fans throwing kiwis at Harry Styles to cheese being lobbed at Pink and Blur's Alex James, all of the very odd things that have been chucked at stars on stage.

ASHES

Pink was recently left startled during her concert at London's BST Hyde Park last month when a fan threw her mother's ashes on stage in a pouch.

The singer, 42, was left startled when she was handed the pouch, before turning to the fan to clarify that it contained her mother's remains.

After the bizarre confirmation, the Never Gonna Not Dance Again hitmaker confessed: 'I don't know how to feel about that.'

After walking back up to the stage from the central walkway, Pink added: 'I have to say that was a first.'

During the show, she also received a number of other 'gifts' from her fans, including teddy bears, flowers and artwork.

Surprisingly, Pink has not been the only star to have been given ashes by one of her fans, as the same also happened to Charli XCX.

Though not thrown on stage, Charli, 30, was unusually presented with the ashes of a fan's mother at a meet-and-greet and asked to pose with them.

The photographs went viral at the time, showing Charli first posing with the fan, before holding the ashes up to pose with.

Charli later spoke about the unique incident in an interview with i-d in 2019 and confessed that she hoped it would be a 'one-off' occurrence.

'Yeah, holding the ashes was… new, and hopefully a one time thing,' she told the publication.

Earlier this month, Charli also took to Twitter to ask her fans what they would throw on stage, after Bebe Rexha saw a phone chucked at her.

She wrote: 'Pink's getting brie, bebe's getting phones, what u guys throwing at me on stage ???'

After a fan brought up the ashes incident, she added: 'No no you're right. I'd be really annoyed if anyone threw anything at me on stage. I'd walk off and wouldn't come back. And if it was their phone I'd keep it and leak all their texts.'

KIWIS

Harry Styles is another singer who has had his fair share of objects thrown at him on stage by enthusiastic fans.

And the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker, 29, once had a kiwi lobbed at him on stage - seemingly in reference to his smash hit song named after the fruit.

Back in 2017, Harry slipped on stage after the piece of fruit was chucked at him while he performed his hit Kiwi.

The awkward slip at Hammersmith Apollo left the star lunging for his microphone in a bid to stand up straight and avoid a full stage tumble.

Harry later discussed the infamous incident during an appearance on BBC Radio 1's breakfast show, admitting he hadn't yet been hit directly by the fruit.

Host Nick Grimshaw referenced fans throwing Umbrellas on-stage at Rihanna in reference to her own hit track, and asked how he had fared from the incident.

Harry said: 'Yeah, I mean definitely rather a kiwi than an umbrella, less sharp edges but umbrellas don't bruise.

'I haven't been hit straight on with a kiwi yet,' he added.

Harry has also had a bouquet of flowers collide with him and seen a Skittle hit him in the eye during concerts which has seen the crowds throw objects up to him.

CHEESE

Blur's Alex James has told how fans often lob cheese at him while he is performing, rather than the more common practice of underwear throwing.

The bassist, 54, has become a cheesemaker since the rock band's 1980s heyday and shared how fans show their support for his new career.

Alex, who runs a 200-acre dairy farm with his wife Claire Neate, revealed his fans have long been aware of his love of cheese and launch it at him while he is on stage.

Speaking on This Morning back in April, he shared: 'I got a lot of cheese thrown at me [on stage], still do.

'[Fans] always have, I still get cheese in the post, still get it presented to me in hotel lobbies, it's nice.'

Alex is currently on the 35-year anniversary reunion tour with Blur, and may seen more cheese thrown during his stint at Wembley this weekend.

He is not even the only celebrity to have been left thrilled when being presented with cheese on stage.

Pink was uniquely gifted a huge wheel of brie as she took to the stage for her Hyde Park performance last week.

Pink was singing her hit Perfect when she noticed the wheel of Brie De Meaux, a French cheese, and asked for it to be passed down the crowds to her on stage.

The fan had splashed the cash on the gift, which can retail between £60 - £100+ for a 3kg block.

Delighted with the snack, Pink gave the fan an air hug and said her thanks before continuing on with the song.

TEDDY BEARS

Lady Gaga was given quite the shock when she had a teddy bear thrown at her while she was performing live in Toronto last August.

The superstar, 37, was forced to dodge the flying object mid song as she wowed audience at the Rogers Centre in Canada.

Awkward: Lady Gaga was given quite the surprise when she had a teddy bear thrown at her while she was performing live in Toronto last August

Footage taken from an audience member showed Gaga singing on the microphone as the teddy was launched, causing her to swiftly move to one side to avoid it.

Afterwards she carried on like a true professional as if nothing had happened.

The fan who shared the clip on Twitter, Jo Shelton, told MailOnline of the incident: 'I decided to record a part of Gaga's finale because Hold My Hand is such a beautiful piece and is very meaningful to me.

'I accidentally got this incident on video, and at first we didn't know who threw it or what the object even was, probably due to the fact that Gaga is an absolute professional and did not miss a beat.'

SEX TOYS

Lil Nas X was left very surprised when he had an X-rated object chucked on stage at him during his show in Sweden last weekend.

The singer, 24, walked over to the item and picked it up and examined what appeared to be a sex toy.

He then asked the crowd: 'Who threw their p***y on stage?'

After the brief interruption, the Grammy winner appeared unfazed as he continued the concert.

For decades, fans have thrown underwear on stage during concerts, but the trend has been taking a more bizarre tone in recent months.

In a video captured by a fan, the star got hit in the chest with the fruit while heading on the main stage to perform her song NASA in a wine-colored Michael Ngo outfit.

Stunned, the Thank U, Next songstress ran offstage and exclaimed: 'What the f***?That's because one of y'all threw a lemon at me! S***.'

Ariana later returned to the stage and continued her concert as normal, proving herself to be ever the professional.
