On Saturday night (Sept. 1), Tink and Hitmaka got into an altercation that caused the “Fake Love” singer to get physical with the music producer and former rapper. Amid the debacle that spilled over to social media, the collaborators revealed that they’d been dating all along, and had been dealing with a recent break up.

Both Tink, née Trinity Home, and Hitmaka, né Christian Ward, uploaded videos explaining their sides of the incident, which Tink says started over Hitmaka not respecting her while they were both in Cancun.

The “Treat Me Like Somebody” crooner also admitted that she got physical with the producer and he did not lay a hand on her.

Tink first posted an Instagram video in an irate state, where she went off on the Chicago exec. “Hitmaka you foul,” she started. “If you think to put the video out of me in the car, just understand I’ma have to let the clip go and everybody’s gonna get exposed.”

Without getting into details about what exactly took place, she mentioned Hitmaka being in the club and “playing in her face.” She also alluded to having to “defend” herself and the producer “acting different” than when they first started working together.

She went on, “You tweaking with a real bi**h, like, a real one that goes through the trenches with you. Everybody told me to let that sh*t go and everybody told me to be careful working with him, and I never seen it until now. Honestly, this has been going on since May. So yeah, this ain’t nothing new, I just have to express it because it may drop, it may leak. And that’s it. New music is on the way.”

Later that day, Hitmaka took to his IG stories to rebut Tink’s claims about him, whilst saying that he loves her and that they are going through a break up.

Hitmaka detailed that the two of them were in the same Cancun restaurant and he left “out of respect,” but with a “bunch of girls.” He then claimed that the singer began calling him by his former stage name “Yung Berg,” before approaching his car and putting her hands on him.

He did admit that he has footage of the incident, which he says urged Tink to label their incident as a “physical altercation.” However, he did state that the two of them are “still cool,” and that he has love and respect for her. The 38-year-old also praised their working relationship, but admitted that their relationship took a turn for the worse when financial differences came into play.

On Sunday (Sept. 10), Tink made another video following up to Hitmaka’s explanation, where she further explained how their relationship went sour.

In the Instagram Live, the fellow Chicagoan spoke on how they were dating “for a long time” and how she’s kept silent about their relationship and deals they’ve made. She also alleged that Hitmaka asked her for $2,000,000 and didn’t want her to work with new producers on her next project.

“When someone has placed a million in your pocket, the least I need is respect,” she said. “And I wasn’t respected last night. I texted him multiple times in that restaurant, telling him, ‘You look great tonight, go up.’ I was never jealous of any woman with him. I need people to know, to the same women… the same man that y’all going to war over, he eats my a** from the rooter to the tooter, you know? It’s very different.”

Deeming herself an “intelligent, stand-up” woman, she admitted to “making a mistake” by putting her hands on him. Tink added that she’s respected Hitmaka while dating him for three years and “she’s not perfect” or “trying to be” perfect.

She summed up her actions to an “accumulation” of build up over the years that came out that night.
