Last we heard about a new Guns N' Roses record was from Susan Holmes McKagan, wife of bassist Duff McKagan, who said "I've heard bits and bobs and it's pretty epic." Now guitarist Slash is chiming in. Slash said in an interview with Sweetwater he's been spending time jamming with his bandmates and really focusing his energy on new Guns N' Roses material.

"I've been pretty much a homebody, but I've been back and forth between my studio in the house and doing a lot of writing and recording on my own," said Slash. "I've been jamming with Duff and I've been jamming with Axl, and I've been doing stuff like that, so we've been getting some work done that way. But I haven't been doing much else. I haven't been doing any collaborations with the odd artists and whatnot. [I'm] basically just focusing on writing new music and recording demos and recording guitar stuff for Guns and whatnot."

Who knows when we can expect the album given the worldwide circumstances, but hey! It's something to look forward to. The new Guns N' Roses album will be their first to feature McKagan, Slash, and vocalist Axl Rose since their 1993 album "The Spaghetti Incident?". Guns N' Roses would go on to release Chinese Democracy in 2008, which featured a laundry list of musicians that hardly included the band's classic lineup and felt more like a Rose project than anything else.
