Anthony Anderson Ordered to Pay Ex-Wife Alvina Stewart KSh 2.9m Month after Divorce

American actor Anthony Anderson has been ordered to pay his ex-wife, Alvina Stewart, a monthly sum of over KSh 2.9 million.

According to court documents seen by TMZ, the base amount is subject to an increase if Anderson's annual earnings exceed KSh 294 million, in which case he would pay an additional 20% of his income.

While the divorce settlement includes financial obligations, it also outlines asset distribution, with Anderson keeping their property in Encino, CA, and a 2004 Land Rover.

Stewart will receive the 2022 Mazda and their Houston property.

The couple will also sell a cemetery plot and split the proceeds, and Anderson is required to return a registered Glock-19 firearm to law enforcement within 30 days.

Who filed for divorce?

In March 2022, TUKO.co.ke reported that Stewart had filed for divorce from the Black-ish actor after twenty-two years of marriage.

Nathan, 22, and Kyra, 26, are the two adult children of the high school sweethearts, who married in September 1999.

The mother of two demanded spousal support and attorney fees from the actor.

Stewart also requested that the assets they acquired during the marriage be shared evenly.

The documents declare that:

"All gifts and inheritances, all assets, incomes, accumulations, and debts obtained by [Stewart] previous to the date of marriage and after the date of separation, the exact type and extent of which are unknown."

In 2015, Stewart filed for divorce for the second time. According to court documents acquired by People magazine, she requested spousal support at the time and alleged irreconcilable differences in the divorce.

Her separation date was reported as April 1, 2014, when she first filed.

According to E! News, she cancelled her divorce petition in January 2017, and the couple appeared to have reconciled.
