It’s a weekend to give drummers some love as a pair of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame skin-pounders headline concerts in the metro area.

It starts with a Beatle in town, as Ringo Starr brings the latest edition of his All-Starr Band — featuring Edgar Winter, Toto’s Steve Lukather, Men at Work’s Colin Hay and Detroit-born drummer Gregg Bissonette — to town Saturday, Oct. 7 at the Masonic Temple Theatre, 500 Temple St., Detroit.
