Andy Murray recorded his 42nd win at Wimbledon yesterday (June 30), and also marked his 10th year at the biggest tennis tournament in the world.

There have been many stories of triumph, tears and tantrums since making his debut as a gawky teenager in 2005, peaking at his incredible win eight years later in July 2013. Here's a look back at his decade of putting us through the emotional wringer each summer.

The year after triumphing at the Junior US Open, Murray had won his first senior matches at Queens just two weeks before his first Grand Slam. It was truly the changing of the guard as Tim Henman lost in the second round, the first time he failed to get to the second week since 1995.

Despite the presence of Sean Connery in the crowd, Murray's inexperience wasn't enough to beat David Nalbandian in a thrilling five-setter. We also first met his now-wife Kim Sears for the first time, often seen in his box alongside his mum Judy Murray.

Unseeded but starting to make a name for himself, Murray did one better in his second year at SW19. He managed a truly brilliant straight-sets victory against third seed Andy Roddick in the third round, helping to make him a household name.

In the fourth round we saw the emergence of his anger as he never got going against Marcos Baghdatis, losing in straight sets.

After breaking into the world's top 10, Murray was suffering from back and cramp problems and decided to sit out Wimbledon for a year, much to the annoyance of British tennis fans everywhere.

In his final Wimbledon, Henman found himself at centre stage again, but sadly crashed out in the second round in a five-setter against Feliciano Lopez.

Muzza was back and seeded 12th, and went further than ever before by cracking the quarter-finals, having coming back from two sets down to beat Richard Gasquet under the brand new Centre Court roof.

He was no match for Rafael Nadal however, who later beat Roger Federer in the final in what is often considered the best tennis match of all time.

Murray matched Henman's semi-final peak for the first time in 2009, having beaten future Grand Slam winner Stan Wawrinka in the fourth round.

Facing Andy Roddick in the semis, many expected him to reach the final - but the American was in inspired form and beat Murray in four sets.

Seeded fourth and in brilliant form, Murray had beaten Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the quarters but once again met Rafael Nadal in the semis and was not able to match the Spaniard's pure power and pirate-like quirks.

Deja-voodoo in 2011 as Murray once again made the semis but was once again beaten by that man Nadal - but at least he took a set off him this time. The nation started to ponder whether he would ever win this bloody thing.

Finally, Andy Murray became the first British man since the 1930s to actually reach the final of Wimbledon! Annoyingly, he had to meet Roger Federer, who chose that moment to recapture his epic form of the previous decade. The nation held back tears as Murray wept on court with Sue Barker. Would he get his revenge?

Huzzah! After 1,483 years, Murray became the first British man to win Wimbledon since Fred Perry and got the monkey off his back.

Having won the Olympics and the US Open the previous year, Andy managed to beat Novak Djokovic in straight sets, including an agonising final game which saw three match points come and go.

Murray had undergone serious back surgery at the end of 2013, and so wasn't in top condition but still managed to get to the second week of Wimbledon.

However, he had a bad day at the office against Grigor Dimitrov, losing easily in straight sets during the quarter-finals.

Murray began his 10th Wimbledon campaign this week, seeded third and beating Mikhail Kukushkin in straight sets in the first round of The Championships.

After winning Queens and having a successful clay court season, Andy is tipped by many to win his second trophy - but will Djokovic, Federer or someone else prove too tricky?
