Spooky events for kids and adults are happening around Sonoma County this weekend.

Friday, Oct. 27

Fall Fun Fest: Family activities including trick-or-treating, a costume contest, games, DJ and dance party, Ferris wheel, zip line and more. Event is from 5 to 8 p.m. at Old Courthouse Square, downtown Santa Rosa. Free. More information at santarosametrochamber.com.

“Mars Attacks!” Halloween Party: DJ Fabian spins dance hits at a sci-fi horror themed show featuring door prizes, costume contest, photo booth and spooky cocktails at 9 p.m. at The Flamingo Resort’s Vintage Space Lounge, 27777 Fourth St., Santa Rosa. Kids Halloween Carnival: Francis Ford Coppola Winery’s annual event returns with games, a fortune teller, reptiles and other animals to pet, a Wheel of Deals, decorations, and entertainment 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $15 for children ages 3-12. Halloween Carnival and Día de los Muertos Celebration: Haunted maze, magic show, carnival games, exotic animals, community altars and more. Event runs from noon to 5 p.m. at the Rohnert Park Community Center, 5401 Snyder Lane. Free. More information at rpcity.org.

Halloween Costume Contest and Ghost Hunt: Pick up your “Ghost Tracker” at Silk Moon Gallery, 195 N Main St., Sebastopol, and look for ghosts in shop windows from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. to get your Tracker stamped. Drop off the completed Tracker at the Sebastopol Chamber of Commerce, 265 S Main St., and win a gift certificate to The Towworks, 6940 Sebastopol Ave., where a costume contest and live music begins at 1 p.m. Free admission.
