A survey by planning consultants Place Score has revealed the most liveable local government areas in Australia. 

The City of Boroondara in Melbourne took out fourth place in the top 10 Australian local government areas.

Port Phillip, Bayside, Darebin, Stonnington and the Mornington Peninsula also scored highly.

Place Score chief executive Kylie Legge, an urban planner, joined Sammy J to explain what liveability means and how it's calculated.
