(RED BANK, NJ) -- Michael Flatley's Lord Of The Dance – 25th Anniversary Tour comes to the Count Basie Center for the Arts on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 7:30pm. Flatley's ground-breaking choreography for Riverdance was followed by massive global success with the hit show Lord of the Dance.

Hudson Theatre Works Opens Season With Early Pinter Masterpieces  (WEEHAWKEN, NJ) -- Hudson Theatre Works kicks open its 11th Season with a double bill of one-acts by Harold Pinter, one of Britain's most influential modern dramatists. PINTER x 2 features two of Pinter's early works: The Dumb Waiter and The Lover. Like in all of Pinter's plays, seemingly ordinary events become charged with profound (though ever-elusive) meaning, haunting pathos, and wild comedy. Performances take place weekends from November 2-19, 2023.

The Strollers presents "Children of Eden"  (MAPLEWOOD, NJ) -- The Strollers presents Children of Eden across three weekends from November 3-19, 2023 at the Burgdorff Center for the Performing Arts. From musical theatre greats, Stephen Schwartz and John Caird, comes a joyous and inspirational musical about parents, children and faith... not to mention centuries of unresolved family business! It's about humanity - our first steps and fumbles, trials and triumphs, and ultimately how we live with one another on this earth.

Avenel Performing Arts Center presents "The Godfather's Meshuggener Wedding" (AVENEL, NJ) -- The Avenel Performing Arts Center presents The Godfather's Meshuggener Wedding from November 17-19, 2023. In this hilarious show, "Don Borleone's" daughter has decided to tie the knot with Bernie Goldberg at the wackiest wedding of all history. The show has all the trimmings of a real wedding where YOU, the audience play the role of wedding guests as the characters mingle throughout the tables and treat everyone as "Part of the Family."

SCTC Presents "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time"  Next up at the South Camden Theatre Company's Waterfront South Theatre is "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time," based on the award-winning 2003 novel by British author Mark Haddon and adapted for the stage by Simon Stephens. The production opens on Nov 3 and continues Friday and Saturday evenings, and Sunday afternoons through Nov 19, 2023.

Friday - Pianist Sean Mason Puts Jazz Spin on "100 Years of Disney" Music. On Tuesday, October 3, at the Numerica Performing Arts Center in Wenatchee, WA, pianist Sean Mason played a solo performance of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez's "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" from Frozen: The Broadway Musical to an audience of middle school students. It was part of the "When You Wish Upon a Star – A Jazz Tribute to 100 Years of Disney" tour, featuring Mason and the House Band of The National Jazz Museum in Harlem.

An Interview with Mike June about the return of The Dirty Doves. Ever since moving away many years ago - first to Austin and then to North Carolina - fans of Mike June could see him in New Jersey every now and again. He would usually be performing a solo gig or a show with his wife, Jess Klein (a wonderful artist as well). Mike is returning to Jersey for a pair of shows in November, but this time he's got a band with him - his old band, in fact - the Dirty Doves.And he will be playing songs from his past that he rarely plays these days, if at all.

Friday - bergenPAC presents LeAnn Rimes and Allison Strong. (ENGLEWOOD, NJ) -- LeAnn Rimes brings her The Story … So Far Tour to the Bergen Performing Arts Center (bergenPAC) in Englewood on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 8:00pm. LeAnn will take fans on a nostalgic journey through her expansive career. New Jersey native Allison Strong, a singer and actress, is the supporting act.

Saturday - Country-Rock Pioneers Pure Prairie League Bring Influential Sound to the Concert Stage. (MORRISTOWN, NJ) -- Their sound was a staple of the '70s and early '80s, that melodic mixture of country-rock laced with FM radio pop. Pure Prairie League, with its crisp, clean harmonies and breezy songs, were innovative purveyors of that style. The band not only enjoyed commercial success, but also cemented its reputation as an early influence for future luminaries such as Keith Urban, Nickel Creek, Wilco, and Counting Crows.

State Theatre New Jersey presents "Chicago, the Musical". (NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- State Theatre New Jersey presents four performances of Chicago the Musical - Saturday, November 18 at 2:00pm & 8:00pm and Sunday, November 19 at 1:00pm & 6:30pm. Tickets range from $40-$105. Chicago has everything that makes Broadway great: a universal tale of fame, fortune, one show-stopping song after another, and spectacular dance numbers. Gallery Episode presents "Eureka!" group exhibition - (LEONIA, NJ) -- Gallery Episode, a new gallery located in the heart of Leonia, presents Eureka! - a group exhibition from November 18 – December 9, 2023. Pulling inspiration from the Ancient Greek word meaning "I have found it," Eureka! is a show about the tenacity of the human spirit and the passion for seeking truth. There will be an Opening Reception on November 18, 2023 from 4:00pm-6:00pm.

MUSIC

Thursday - NJPAC presents presents Vibraphonist and vocalist Roy Ayers. (NEWARK, NJ) -- New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) presents Vibraphonist and vocalist Roy Ayers to Newark on Thursday, November 16, 2023. The performance takes place in the Victoria Theater at 7:30pm. Tickets range from $59-$79.

Thursday - Westminster Conservatory at Nassau presents music for two flutes and piano. (PRINCETON, NJ) -- Westminster Conservatory at Nassau will continue with a recital of music for two flutes and piano on November 16 at 12:15pm. The performers — Ellen Fisher Deerberg, flute; Kevin Willois, flute; Patricia Tupta Landy, piano — are members of the teaching faculty of Westminster Conservatory of Music. The recital will take place in the Niles Chapel of Nassau Presbyterian Church (61 Nassau Street) in Princeton. It is open to the public free of charge.

Friday - The Newton Theatre presents Choir! Choir! Choir! with The Epic 80s Tour. (NEWTON, NJ) -- Choir! Choir! Choir! brings The Epic 80s Tour! to The Newton Theatre on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 8:00pm. From Prince, Madonna & George Michael... To Bon Jovi, Whitney & Journey... the 80s had it covered when it came to EPIC pop hits.Come sing along with Choir! Choir! Choir! to the greatest songs of the 80s by the greatest stars of the 80s!

Friday - Vince Herman Band to Play Roy's Hall. (BLAIRSTOWN, NJ) -- Vince Herman is out to have some fun. 33 years after founding Leftover Salmon, Vince released an album of his own and hit the road to play a batch of songs developed in his new Nashville home. It's a bit of a departure from the "Salmon sound" as he digs into his idea of what country music is. There’s some bluegrass and Cajun influences and honky tonk ballads all piled atop great players taking the tunes for a ride.

Friday - GRP Record Label Artists to Pay Tribute to Founder Dave Grusin at NJPAC. (NEWARK, NJ) -- Artists from GRP Records will pay tribute to the label's founder, Dave Grusin, on Friday, November 17, 2023 at New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC). The concert will feature performances by: Dave Grusin – composer/piano; Lee Ritenour – guitar; Patti Austin – vocals; Will Downing – vocals; New York Voices – vocals; Jane Monheit – vocals; Randy Brecker – trumpet; Ernie Watts – tenor saxophone; Dave Wecki – drums; and Tom Kennedy – bass. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Friday - Princeton Folk Music Society presents House of Hamill. (PRINCETON, NJ) — The Princeton Folk Music Society presents an evening of high energy "upcycled indie Irish folk" with House of Hamill at Christ Congregation Church on Friday, November 17, 2023. Whether they're ripping through a set of original jigs and reels, adding lush three-part harmonies to traditional folk ballads, or cracking up an audience with stories from the road, House of Hamill puts on a show that captivates audiences from the very first note. Showtime is 8:00pm.

Saturday - The Newton Theatre presents EagleMania. (NEWTON, NJ) -- EagleMania comes to The Newton Theatre on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 8:00pm. EagleMania – The World's Greatest Eagles Tribute Band. That isn't their slogan by mistake! EagleMania has dedicated themselves to faithfully reproducing the music of The Eagles.

Saturday - White Eagle Hall presents Fishbone. (JERSEY CITY, NJ) -- White Eagle Hall presents Fishbone on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at 8:00pm. Crazy & The Brains will open the night. Doors are at 7:00pm.

Saturday - Plainfield Symphony Orchestra presents "Prague Connection". (PLAINFIELD, NJ) -- On Saturday, November 18, 2023, the Plainfield Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of its acclaimed music director Charles Prince, presents its next concert, "Prague Connection" at the Crescent Avenue Presbyterian Church in Plainfield. Mozart's progressive Symphony No. 38 is paired with the well-known Dvořák Cello Concerto featuring Jameson D. Platte as soloist.

Sunday - The 12th Annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition Announces Top Five Finalists. (NEWARK, NJ) -- As part of NJPAC's TD James Moody Jazz Festival (November 3-19), the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (NJPAC) has announced the top five finalists of the 12th Annual Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition. Pulled from a record 280+ submissions representing 37 countries, these gifted young contestants from around the world represent the next generation of great jazz singers. The top five finalists are: Daryann Dean (Los Angeles, CA), Bianca Love (New Orleans, LA), Tyreek McDole (St. Cloud, FL), Ekep Nkwelle (Washington, DC), and Emma Smith (London, UK).

Sunday - RVCC to Present Concert Featuring New American Music, World Premiere of Professor's Song Cycle. (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- Raritan Valley Community College's Arts & Design department will present Paradoxides, a concert of vocal music, November 19, 2023 at 2:00pm. The event, which will feature bass-baritone Hans Tashjian and pianist Anna Keiserman, is part of the MOZAIKA Concert Series' current season. It will be held in the Welpe Theatre at the College’s Branchburg campus.

THEATRE

Music Mountain Theatre presents "Elf, the Musical". (LAMBERTVILLE, NJ) -- Music Mountain Theatre (MMT) presents a special four-weekend run of Elf, the Musical from October 27 through November 19, 2023. Get in the holiday spirit with the family favorite based on the beloved 2003 New Line Cinema hit!

Bergen County Players to present "Master Class". (ORADELL, NJ) -- Bergen County Players (BCP), one of America’s longest-running little theater companies, is excited to present the intense and powerful Tony Award-winning Master Class, weekends from October 28 to November 18. Under the direction of Alan Demovsky, this dramatic and profound play by Terrence McNally, one of America's preeminent playwrights (Love! Valor! Compassion!, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, Ragtime, The Full Monty), is regarded as "rich, vivid," and "satisfying" by The New York Times. The drama about famed opera singer Maria Callas will coincide this year with the 100th anniversary of her birth.

Broadway Theatre of Pitman presents Disney's "The Little Mermaid". (PITMAN, NJ) -- Broadway Theatre of Pitman is presenting Disney's The Little Mermaid weekends through November 19, 2023. Based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, and the wildly popular Disney film, this musical staging of The Little Mermaid features a funny and fanciful book by Doug Wright, with the beloved score by Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Glenn Slater in an expanded but completely faithful form, featuring the rambunctious and persuasive "Under the Sea," the romantic expectation of "Kiss the Girl," and that anthem to longing and belonging, "Part of Your World."

Lantern Theater Company presents "Crumbs from the Table of Joy". (PHILADELPHIA, PA) -- Lantern Theater Company continues its 30th anniversary season with two-time Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage's dramatic gem, Crumbs from the Table of Joy. Director Bianca LaVerne Jones makes her Lantern Theater Company debut, leading a cast of Philadelphia theater artists that includes Monet Debose, Walter DeShields, Morgan Charéce Hall, Hillary Parker, and Brett Ashley Robinson. The production runs Thursday, November 9 through Sunday, December 10, 2023, at St. Stephen’s Theater, the Lantern's resident venue.

Pebble Players Youth Theater presents "Mean Girls". (SUMMIT, NJ) -- Pebble Players Youth Theater opens their season at the Oakes Center with Mean Girls High School Version across two weekends from November 10-19, 2023. It's literally so fetch! Don’t miss this fun show that will knock your pink socks off! Based on Tina Fey's hit film, Mean Girls in 2004, the creators of this Broadway show didn't miss a beat! You will be mesmerized by these charming but ruthless plastics!

Playhouse 22 presents "The Niceties". (EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ) -- Playhouse 22 presents The Niceties, a play by Eleanor Burgess, across two weekends from Saturday, November 11 to Sunday, November 19, 2023. Part of the theater's "On the Edge" black box series, The Niceties focuses on a conversation between a student and her professor as they debate on how American history is taught from varying different perspectives.

Black Box presents The State of Unions: Edward Albee's "Marriage Play," "Counting the Ways," and "The Perfect Marriage". (TEANECK, NJ) -- While Black Box's ongoing monthly 'From A To Zoo' series covering all of Edward Albee's play will resume in December, this month brings an exclusive fundraiser workshop presentation to the stage in Teaneck! The State of Unions: Edward Albee's Marriage Play, Counting The Ways, and The Perfect Marriage, an (almost) never seen monologue about exactly what it sounds like, is the first pairing of these vital, rarely seen works from an American master.

Thursday - RVCC Theatre to Present Multimedia Production of "Call of the Wild" for Children, Young Teens. (BRANCHBURG, NJ) -- The Theatre at Raritan Valley Community College in Branchburg will present a performance of Call of the Wild: Illustrated Edition, Thursday, November 16, 2023 at 10:00am. The 60-minute show, which will kick off RVCCArts' School-Time series for children and young teens and their families, is geared for audience members in grades 3-8.

Saturday - StocktonPAC presents The Little Mermen - Disney Tribute Band. (GALLOWAY, NJ) -- If you're looking for a family-friendly afternoon in South Jersey, look no further than Stockton University's Performing Arts Center as The Little Mermen, a Disney tribute band, will take the mainstage on Saturday, November 18, 2023. Showtime is 2:00pm.

Saturday - Organic Farms To Hold Grand Opening Event with Afroman, DJ Mr. Mixx, Food Trucks, and Vendors. (CAMDEN, NJ) -- Organic Farms, a groundbreaking minority-owned cannabis dispensary with a drive-thru, is set to make history with its grand opening on November 18, 2023.
