Just days before the 32nd annual KROQ/FM 106.7 Almost Acoustic Christmas was set to take over the Kia Forum in Inglewood on Saturday, Dec. 9, headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers announced they’d have to drop off the bill.

The band took to social media to post: “It is with deep regret that we will not be able to perform this weekend at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas. A band member was injured, preventing us from being able to perform for at least 6 weeks. However, RHCP and KROQ are excited to make it up to you on March 2, 2024 at Kia Forum. So, have a great time this weekend and hang on to your ticket.”

It’s unknown which member was injured or how serious the injury is.

Original ticket buyers will be contacted with details for the March 2 makeup show soon. Refunds are also available for 48 hours via Ticketmaster.com.

While RHCP are out, the show will still include sets from Garbage, The Offspring, Portugal. The Man, Bleachers, Cannons, Lovejoy, Bakar and The Beaches.

The show is sold out and a portion of the proceeds will benefit Los Angeles-based non-profits Para Los Niños and the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center.
