Rams Week 14 snap counts: Playing time breakdown from loss to Ravens

The Los Angeles Rams were without Tyler Higbee against the Baltimore Ravens, which forced them to adjust at tight end by deploying Hunter Long and Davis Allen. They were also missing Quentin Lake again, giving Russ Yeast and Cobie Durant the chance to man the slot for another week.

Overall, though, the Rams didn’t make many personnel adjustments in Sunday’s loss to the Ravens compared to the way they’ve used their players in recent weeks. Injuries during the game, from Long’s to Rob Havenstein’s to Tutu Atwell’s, did cause some adjustments, though.

We break down the snap counts on offense and defense from Sunday’s loss to the Ravens.

Offense

Rob Havenstein was only able to play 16 snaps before exiting with a groin injury, and he was replaced by Joe Noteboom. The other four linemen played all 77 snaps.

Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua remain the top two receivers, but Demarcus Robinson has clearly taken over as the No. 3 receiver. Tutu Atwell got hurt with 6 minutes left in the first half but he wasn’t playing much to begin with, certainly not more than Robinson.

Kyren Williams played 69 of a possible 77 snaps, so his workload remains heavy as the Rams’ lead back.

Davis Allen played a career-high 55 snaps after Hunter Long got injured, catching four passes for 50 yards and a touchdown. Brycen Hopkins played just four snaps as the backup behind Allen.

Defense

The Rams used a lot of dime packages to counter the Ravens offense. Jordan Fuller, John Johnson, Derion Kendrick and Ahkello Witherspoon all played every snap on defense, so nothing has changed with the starters.

Russ Yeast and Cobie Durant played 33 and 29 snaps, respectively, helping cover the slot with Witherspoon and Kendrick on the outside. No other defensive backs got on the field.

At linebacker, Ernest Jones played all but one snap, and Troy Reeder remained the No. 2 option ahead of Christian Rozeboom. They played 23 and 16 snaps, respectively.

Byron Young and Michael Hoecht played 80-plus percent of the snaps as the top two edge rushers. Nick Hampton was third on the depth chart with 15 snaps played, followed by Keir Thomas, who played 12 snaps.

Along the defensive line, Aaron Donald led the way with an 88% snap share. Jonah Williams was second with 61% of the snaps played, and Kobie Turner played 58%. His playing time has declined a bit with Bobby Brown III back; Brown played 36% of the snaps.
