For the past 10 years, “The Last Waltz” has been a who’s who of Hudson County’s musicians and it continues the annual tradition when it returns to White Eagle Hall on Friday, Nov. 17, at 8 p.m.
“The Last Waltz” takes place before every Thanksgiving and takes its name and premise from the 1978 concert film of the same name by Martin Scorsese, the concert film advertised as The Band’s farewell concert on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25, 1976, at Winterland Ballroom in San Francisco. During the show, The Band was joined by more than a dozen special guests including Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, Neil Young, Emmylou Harris, Ronnie Hawkins, Paul Butterfield, Bobby Charles, Dr. John, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Muddy Waters and Ronnie Wood.
