A DUO from the hit band Ocean Colour Scene are coming to the Brickyard in Carlisle on Thursday, September 1.

After the bands highly successful 25th anniversary tour in 2015, Simon Fowler and Oscar Harrison are taking their stripped back acoustic show on a tour of 'specially selected intimate venues'.

After their gig in Carlisle the show moves on to Keele, Stroud, Coventry and Bexhill-on-Sea.

The band became famous in the Britpop scene in the 1990s, supporting Oasis at Knebworth in 1996 before their album ‘Marchin’ Already’ went to number one in 1997, displacing Oasis’s ‘Be Here Now’ in the process.

Their 1998 arena tour round the UK was the biggest by any British band that year.

Over the past 30 years the band have played some of the biggest venues in the country and had five Top 10 albums, six Top 10 singles and a mantelpiece full of awards.
