Uli Jon Roth, Jennifer Batten, and Andy Timmons bring the Ultimate Guitar Experience to Vancouver

Man, I thought Vancouver guitar freaks were gonna lose it with the announcement that Louisiana slide-guitar ace Sonny Landreth was playing here in January.

Now comes word that a triple-bill featuring Uli Jon Roth, Jennifer Batten, and Andy Timmons is scheduled for Venue on March 19.

      Talk about six-string overload!

The show—presented by Scrape Records and the Invisible Orange—is called the Ultimate Guitar Experience, and who's gonna argue with that? Well, maybe the promoters of that big Winter/Vaughan/Gallagher gig up at God's Flaming Colossal Rockatorium, but that's beside the point.

Uli Jon Roth is the former lead guitarist for Scorpions. He's also a master of the neoclassical metal genre, and the inventor of the Sky Guitar, so you know he knows his way around a fretboard.

Jennifer Batten has gone toe-to-toe with Jeff Beck, so 'nuff said there.

And Andy Timmons I'm not familiar with, but if he's sharing the stage with Roth and Batten he's gotta have it goin' on.

Tickets for the show are priced at $30 (plus service charge), and you can find them here.
