Alex Iwobi insists he and his team-mates all want Aaron Ramsey to stay at Arsenal.

The Wales midfielder has emerged as a target for Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United after talks over a new deal at Arsenal collapsed.

Ramsey’s current contract expires next summer, leaving him free to talk to other clubs about a transfer in January.

He is expected to leave the Emirates after Arsenal withdrew their contract offer but Iwobi is desperate for him to stay.

Asked whether he would be a big miss to Arsenal, the Nigeria international told BT Sport: ‘Of course, he’ a great player.

‘Especially when I was breaking into the first-team I always used to watch him and learn things from him.

‘I’m still doing that today.

‘So it would be a great miss if he goes but hopefully he can stay. We all want him to stay. Hopefully it can get sorted.’

Former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger signed Ramsey from Cardiff City in 2008.

He has since played over 300 games for the club and helped the Gunners win three FA Cup trophies.

His Wales manager, Ryan Giggs, says he should not fear leaving Arsenal as he is good enough to play in any of the top leagues in Europe.

‘He’s a good player so he suits any league. He can play anywhere,’ said Giggs.

‘My advice would be to concentrate on his career with Arsenal [right now] and when he comes away with us.’

Amid speculation Ramsey is set to leave Arsenal, Unai Emery has reportedly identified Ever Banega as the player to replace the midfielder.

The Gunners face London rivals Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
