Tributes dominate area venues

Music tributes dominate the entertainment highlights coming to local and regional venues during the new year’s first couple of weeks.

Penn’s Peak will host tributes to Garth Brooks and Creedence Clearwater Revival, with Mauch Chunk Opera House welcoming U2 and Deep Purple tribute shows.

The Lehigh Valley, meanwhile, will also welcome tribute acts. In Bethlehem, Belinda Davids’ Whitney Houston show comes to Wind Creek Event Center, while haZy cosmic jive and Kashmir will present David Bowie and Led Zeppelin tributes, respectively, at the Musikfest Café.

In Easton, The Musical Box will recreate a Genesis show at the State Theatre.
