Mariah Carey is coming back to Las Vegas. The best-selling female artist of all time will launch an exclusive new engagement, “The Celebration of Mimi Live,” at Dolby Live at Park MGM on April 12. Eight performances are on the schedule through April 27 and tickets go on sale at Ticketmaster on February 10. Carey has previously performed two different residency shows at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace as well as her famous holiday concerts during those engagements.

Better late than never, Sahara Las Vegas has announced some big-time live entertainment taking over its Sahara Theatre this week for Super Bowl weekend. Rappers Rod Wave and Jeezy will take the stage February 9 at 10 p.m., while R&B favorites Ne-Yo, Tank and Mario will perform February 10 at 4 p.m., and hip-hop stars Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz take over on Saturday at 10 p.m. Tickets for these shows are available via Ticketmaster and more info about all Sahara programming, including the Playmakers Party on February 8 and a tailgater on February 11 at Azilo Ultra Pool, is available at saharalasvegas.com.

Christina Aguilera, who was forced to reschedule some recent Las Vegas shows due to illness, has added a dozen new show dates for her new residency at Voltaire at Venetian. The rescheduled performances are set for April 12-13, and 10 more weekend shows are on the slate through August 31. For ticket info, visit voltairelv.com.

And after the exciting recent announcement of Dead & Company’s “Dead Forever” residency show taking up soon at Sphere, the band has added six more shows to its run, now totaling 24 shows from May 16 through July 13. A general onsale for tickets begins February 9 at ticketmaster.com.

Here are more recent Vegas entertainment announcements: country singer Lewis Brice performs at Chrome Showroom at Santa Fe Station on April 6; comedian Ray Romano takes up a new home on the Strip, set to perform at the Summit Showroom at Venetian on April 12-13; psychedelic rockers Khruangbin takes two nights to perform at Brooklyn Bowl on April 23-24; ever-cool rock group Interpol will perform at the Theater at Virgin on May 10; dancehall legend Sean Paul visits the House of Blues at Mandalay Bay on May 25; rising Mexican music star Panter Bélico performs at Bakkt Theater at Planet Hollywood on June 15; vocal quartet Il Divo plays the Pearl Concert Theater on July 6; the Happy Together Tour, featuring The Turtles, Jay and the Americans, The Association, Badfinger, The Vogues and The Cowsills, will visit the Smith Center on July 20; Gipsy Kings featuring Nicolas Reyes return for a performance at the Red Rock Ballroom at Red Rock Resort in Summerlin on August 9; Alejandro Fernández will take over MGM Grand Garden Arena September 14-15; and Santana’s residency at the House of Blues continues with new dates scheduled from September 25 through November 10.

Just days before their performance at Sphere for the Grammy Awards on Sunday, U2 stars Bono and The Edge took advantage of some Vegas downtime at a favorite local watering hole, the Golden Tiki on Spring Mountain Road. The legends partied with their crew and the Tiki crowd, enjoying cocktails, Dole whip and some tasty bar snacks. “U2: UV Achtung Baby” is back onstage at Sphere tonight as well as February 9-10.
