Speaking about playing the August 4th festival, Joe said:  “London is my favourite city to perform, the love y’all show me is amazing, I really cannot wait to perform live at T-Live this summer.”

Rick Ross, 48, who has a chequered legal past having spent time in jail for aggravated assault, said: “It’s been a minute since I hit the stage in London, get ready for me this summer at T-Live!”

The festival marks R&B star Joe’s major UK festival return since the singer's music hiatus in the early 2010’s.

The Georgia-born singer-songwriter followed his debut album, 1997’s All That I Am, with sophomore bestseller My Name Is Joe which was released in 2000.

Numerous songs from the album became hit singles on the pop and R&B charts, including Stutter featuring US rapper Mystikal, 53, which reached number 1 on the UK Hip Hop / R&B chart, and number 7 on the official UK singles chart and 2004 UK number 12 single Ride Wit U with 50 Cent’s hip-hop ground G-Unit.

Co-headliner Rick Ross released his debut single Hustlin' in 2006. The Florida rapper founded Maybach Music Group back in 2012.

Coupled with the label executive's success, there have been some controversial moments.

The rapper had also been criticised for a line on US rapper Rocko's 2013 song U.O.E.N.O where Rick raps about putting 'Molly' [MDMA drug] into a woman’s drink without her knowledge.

Rick later apologised for the lyric on X, formerly known as Twitter, saying: “I respect women and would never use the term rape in my records and as far as my camp, Hip-Hop don’t condone that, the streets don’t condone that, nobody condones that.”

Co-headliner Jeremih landed his first big success with 2009 debut single Birthday Sex which peaked at number 4 on the Billboard Charts and number 15 in the UK singles chart.
