Fairfax County police make third arrest in November home invasion, robbery

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — Police have arrested three people in total concerning a home invasion and robbery that happened in McLean back in November.

The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said that the robbery happened on Nov. 27, 2023. Officers were called to the 1300 block of Spring Hill Road around 5:45 a.m.

FCPD said that three suspects had forced entry into the victim’s home. They “brandished a firearm and demanded money” before assaulting two people and running away. One of the victims had to be taken to the hospital for treatment.

A helicopter and K9 responded to help with the search. The helicopter spotted one of the suspects — FCPD said that Jaquan Ross, 32, of Lorton had been trying to hide himself by laying on the ground.

Officers arrested him there and charged him with three counts of abduction, three counts of robbery, burglary, malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Police continued investigating and identified Elijah Thomas, 24, of Dumfries, as another one of the suspects. Officers took him into custody on Nov. 30, 2023. He is facing the same charges as Ross as well as a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.

FCPD detectives continued investigating and determined that 24-year-old Cartier Wesley of Lorton was the third suspect. Officers tracked him down and arrested him on March 21.

Officials charged him with the same charges that they charged Ross with.

All three men were held without bond.
