Every so often, plans for an important new restaurant somehow remain under the radar almost until opening day. That’s the case with Tucci, a “sister” establishment to FiDi steakhouse phenomenon Delmonico’s and named for partner Max Tucci.
The Italian eatery boasting northern and southern dishes will open on March 15 at 643 Broadway on the corner of Bleecker Street in Noho. Like Delmonico’s, it will be run by co-owner Dennis Turcinovic and Tucci, who’s a grandson of the family that ran Delmonico’s in the first half of the 20th century.
The 4,000 square-foot, two-level trattoria seats 60 guests. The menu is inspired by the Tucci family’s Italian heritage. The kitchen will be led by Delmonico’s chef Edward Hong, who’s been named corporate executive chef of DRG Hospitality.
The menu will also include the classic “Eye of Delmonico” steak from the Beaver Street landmark.
RFR’s landmark Seagram Building logged over 100,000 square feet of new leases and expansions in 2023. The hot streak continues with a 34,000 square-foot deal for private equity firm Advent International.
RFR leasing chief AJ Camhi said, “The flight to quality is clear as demand for space at Seagram and along Park Avenue remains strong.” Asking rents at Seagram, aka 375 Park Ave., average $235 per square foot.
Last year, investment firm Fintech Advisory and Brant Point Capital Management both renewed their leases while Spanish law firm Perez-Llorca relocated there.
