Upcoming events: Seminole County Fair, Easter egg hunts and more
WE’RE GOING TO SEND THINGS OVER NOW TO SUMMER AND MARQUISE. MICHELLE. THANK YOU. WE’RE GOING TO TURN OUR ATTENTION TO THE FORECAST. AND WE HAD A LITTLE REPRIEVE. BUT THE SHOWERS ARE NOW COMING THROUGH THE METRO AREA. YEAH, WE HAD A BIT OF A LULL. RIGHT. WE THOUGHT IT WAS OVER AND NOW WE STILL HAVE MORE RAIN TO DEAL WITH TONIGHT. BUT THOSE RAIN SHOWERS ARE GOING TO KEEP YOU WARM. WE’LL TAKE A LOOK AT THE I-75 CORRIDOR OUT TOWARDS MARION COUNTY IN WHICH HERE’S WHERE THE RAIN IS A LITTLE BIT MORE INTENSE. THIS IS SHIFT TOWARDS OAK OCALA. WE DO HAVE THOSE SHOWERS COMING IN AS WE SPEAK RIGHT NOW. THAT’S WHERE WE SEE THESE BRIGHTER SHADES OF YELLOW AND ORANGE MOVING TOWARDS THE NORTH AND THE EAST. HERE’S A LOOK AT THE LIVE RADAR OVER THE LAST 15 MINUTES. THESE SHOWERS HAVE PICKED UP QUITE A BIT RIGHT? SLIDING OVER ANTHONY INTO CITRA NOW MOVING TOWARDS THE NORTH AND THE EAST PAST OCALA AS WELL. NOW HEADING INTO THE METRO, YOU GUYS MIGHT SEE SOME LIGHTER PRECIPITA ATION COMING YOUR WAY IN THE NEXT 10 OR 15 MINUTES. WE DO SEE TALL BELLOWING CLOUDS BEGINNING TO BUILD. AND HERE’S A LOOK AT DISNEY ACROSS THE I-4 CORRIDOR. LIKELY THAT THIS RAIN ISN’T MAKING ITS WAY TO THE SURFACE QUITE YET, BUT WE’RE GOING TO GET THERE. SO WE’LL SWITCH ON OVER TO OUR TOWER CAM FACING OVER DISNEY RIGHT NOW, WHICH WE DO SHOW TEMPERATURES STILL IN THE LOWER 70S. WE’RE NOT SEEING THE RAIN DROPLETS IN OUR LITTLE ICON HERE, BUT OVERCAST SKIES STILL REMAIN IN THE PICTURE WITH A BREEZE FROM THE SOUTH THAT WE WERE BREEZIER EARLIER IN THE DAY. BUT THAT BREEZE IS COMING. YOUR WAY AT NINE MILE PER HOUR SPEEDS NOW OUT TOWARDS LAKE COUNTY. HERE’S WHERE WE HAD SOME HEAVIER RAIN EARLIER THIS MORNING. LADY LAKE YOU GUYS ARE JUST BELOW AN INCH AND A HALF GROVELAND. 1.35IN. LEESBURG 1.13 AND JUST OVER AN INCH IS CLERMONT 1.01IN. NOW THE REASON WHY WE’RE TRENDING WARM TONIGHT IS DUE TO THE FACT THAT THIS WARM FRONT HAS LIFTED ACROSS OUR SUNSHINE STATE, BUT NO SUNSHINE IN THE PICTURE TONIGHT OR INTO THE MORNING TOMORROW AS WE’LL SEE OVERCAST SKIES AND LIGHTER RAIN SHOWERS STRATIFORM RAIN MOVING IN AHEAD OF THIS COLD FRONT, WHICH WILL INCREASE YOUR CHANCE FOR MORE RAIN ON SATURDAY AS WELL. CURRENTLY THOUGH, THE ONLY PLACE THAT SHOWS TEMPERATURES IN THE 60S IS WILDWOOD. EVERYWHERE ELSE THOUGH, WE’VE BEEN STUCK IN THE LOWER 70S ALL AFTERNOON AND WILL SLOWLY COOL AS WE MOVE THROUGHOUT THE REST OF YOUR EVENING. PRIMARY WIND SPEEDS, AS WE MENTIONED, HAVE BEEN CONSISTENTLY COMING IN FROM THE SOUTH, BUT WERE NOT AS BREEZY AS WE ONCE WERE. BUT JUST A MOMENT AGO WE HAD 26 MILE PER HOUR GUSTS IN WINTER HAVEN, AND THAT’S ANOTHER AREA THAT COULD SEE SOME SHOWERS LATE TONIGHT AND INTO THE EARLY MORNING TOMORROW. SO HERE’S THAT CLUSTER OF RAIN THAT WE TALKED ABOUT MOVING ACROSS MARION COUNTY THAT’S GOING TO PUSH TOWARDS THE NORTH. AND THE EAST. YOU COULD HAVE SOME BRIEF SHOWERS IN VOLUSIA AND FLAGLER COUNTY ELSEWHERE THOUGH, WE’LL SEE THE CHANCE FOR RAIN RETURN TO OUR SOUTH. WINTER HAVEN KISSIMMEE SAINT CLOUD. YOU GUYS MIGHT JUST HAVE SOME BRIEF SHOWERS JUST BEFORE AND AFTER MIDNIGHT. AND THEN ON SATURDAY, LOW PRESSURE WILL STILL EXIST TO OUR NORTH AND EAST, AND THAT WILL CALL FOR MORE SHOWERS ACROSS THE I-10 QUARTER. WE SEE THOSE HERE IN JACKSONVILLE AS THIS SEMI STATIONARY BOUNDARY KIND OF JUST BREAKS DOWN AND FALLS APART. WHAT’S LEFT THOUGH, AFTER ITS PASSAGE OR COOLER TEMPERATURES AND MORE SUNSHINE ON SUNDAY. SO WE’LL DROP A DROP DOWN FROM HIGHS OF 80 DEGREES DOWN TO THE LOWER 70 SUNDAY. PROBABLY THE BETTER OF THE TWO BEACH DAYS, BUT YOU’RE NOT AS WARM AS YOU WILL BE LATER IN THE WORKWEEK. WARMING UP TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY AS WE HAVE THAT CONSISTENT FLOW COMING IN FROM THE SOUTH. BUT WEDNESDAY NIGHT AND INTO THURSDAY. PREPARE TO REACH FOR YOUR UMBRELLAS ONCE AGAIN. OUR NEXT BATCH OF SHOWERS MOVES IN TOWARDS THE MIDDLE OF THE WORKWEEK, AND WE’LL SEE THAT RAIN ON THURSDAY MORNING AS WELL. TEMPERATURES ARE BEGINNING TO COOL, BUT IT’S THE BEGINNING OF THE WORKWEEK THAT I’M LOOKING FORWARD TO. 78 ON MONDAY, 85 ON TUESDAY. AS WE’RE TRENDING BRIGHT AND SUNNY HERE I
