SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — A fuel spill on eastbound Interstate 8 prompted authorities to close a lane and off-ramp Thursday morning, said Caltrans.

A SigAlert from California Highway Patrol around 6:40 a.m. reported a minor traffic collision at Lake Jennings Parkway, which is located in the area of Lakeside.

The right eastbound lane and off-ramp of I-8, west of Lake Jennings Parkway, were blocked to traffic due to the oil spill. CHP said the cleanup is expected to take roughly two hours.

There were no immediate reports of injuries from this incident.
