THAT CRASH. TRAFFIC IS BACK TO NORMAL AFTER A TANKER TRUCK OVERTURNED ON ROUTE 50 IN EASTON. THIS MORNING. SKY TEAM 11, BALTIMORE’S ONLY NEWS HELICOPTER SHOWED THE EMPTY SEWAGE TRUCK SITTING ON ITS SIDE THERE IN A DITCH ALONG THE HIGHWAY. THE DRIVER WAS FLOWN TO SHOCK TRAUMA.

An empty tanker truck overturned Monday morning, closing a portion of U.S. Route 50 in Easton.Check traffic map hereMaryland State Police told 11 News that troopers were called shortly after 9 a.m. to the eastbound lanes of Route 50 at Hiners Lane, where a tanker truck overturned.Video from SkyTeam 11, Baltimore's only news helicopter, showed a sewage truck on its side in a ditch alongside the highway.Police said the driver was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. No other injuries were reported.All eastbound lanes of Route 50 were closed.The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Maryland State Police told 11 News that troopers were called shortly after 9 a.m. to the eastbound lanes of Route 50 at Hiners Lane, where a tanker truck overturned.

Police said the driver was flown to Shock Trauma in Baltimore. No other injuries were reported.

All eastbound lanes of Route 50 were closed.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
