Woman Surprises Husband With New Hairstyle, but Not in Way You'd Expect

A woman has gone viral on social media after sharing a video in which she surprises her husband with a "new look," but not everyone agrees with her method.

In the hilarious clip, shared on TikTok earlier in March under the username yareli.lifestyle, the woman can be seen plucking her husband's white hairs with tweezers as he sleeps, unaware of what is going on.

Over a minute, she managed to collect a whole bunch of hair, which she then proceeded to tape together, as if making a wig. The post comes with a caption that says: "Surprising my husband with a new look."

Contrary to popular belief, gray hairs are not due to stress. Stress doesn't change the color of our hair once it's produced by the hair follicles, according to Harvard Health. Instead, the follicles start producing less color as they age.

However, stress can trigger a condition known as telogen effluvium, which causes your hair to shed about three times faster than normal.

"If you're middle-aged and your hair is falling out and regenerating more quickly because of stress, it's possible that the hair that grows in will be gray instead of its original color," the Harvard website explains.

The video quickly went viral on social media and has so far received over 60.2 million views and 2.7 million likes.

One user, Brielle, commented: "Don't two gray hairs grow in place if you yank them out?" And Arly89 said: "My husband has 1 on his beard and he thinks he's a silver fox."

Amparo Ochoa wrote: "Girl you are going to leave him bald, but me with my husband." And No one said: "I swear once he wakes up his head will b hurting like hell."

O_fata_simpla_dar_cool added: "Never pull the white hair, my mom gives me this advice, she's almost 40 with no white hair... When I got my first white hair she said to never pull it cuz it will grow more."

DiannaH wrote: "Girl I would of felt the first one come out lol, 8im a super light sleeper unless I'm exhausted lol then I'm a tree."
