Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates looks back at his earlier trip ahead of his upcoming visit to India

Bill Gates is set to visit India, reminiscing about his 2008 trip with his father at the Taj Mahal. He shared an Instagram photo and visit details are yet to be announced. In his previous visit in March 2020, Gates met with various notable individuals, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates is set to visit India later this month and ahead of his tour, he has shared a photo on Instagram, remembering the time when he came to the country in 2008.
Gates shared an image from 2008 when he was in India with his father.

“I’m thinking about my dad as I get ready to visit India later this month. We had a great time on this trip in 2008,” he said in the caption of a family photo in which he is standing in front of the Taj Mahal with his father.
Bill Gates’ father, William Henry Gates II, better known as Bill Gates Sr., passed away in 2020.
Currently, the details about his visit – such as dates and whom he’ll meet – are not known.
Bill Gates’ previous visit to India
Gates visited India last year in March and posted photos on his Instagram handle.
“I just returned from my visit to India, and I can’t wait to go back again. I love visiting India because every trip is an incredible opportunity to learn,” he said.

“During my travels last week in Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore, I met some amazing people who taught me how they are using the power of innovation, science, and collaboration to find solutions to the world’s health, climate, and development challenges,” Gates added.

During this visit, the billionaire philanthropist met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, bridge champion Anshul Bhatt, YouTuber and 'Mismatched' star Prajakta Koli and NGO workers. He also posted a picture of him driving an e-rickshaw.
He also met industrialist Anand Mahindra, Sachin Tendulkar, Wipro chairman Rishad Premji, Zerodha founder Nithin and Nikhil Kamath, Union Ministers Hardeep Singh Puri, Smriti Irani and Ashwini Vaishnaw, among others.
