Phil Mickelson is among the wealthiest professional golfers of all time. He is regarded as the finest left-handed golfer. According to Forbes, Phil has a $300 million net worth. He is one of the few players who have won three of the four majors. You’ll be surprised to learn that Phil Mickelson has made $800 million in his golf career. In certain years, he earned between $80 and $100 million. Mickelson has made $40 to $50 million primarily from endorsements.

He is currently second only to Tiger Woods in terms of tournament earnings, having earned more over $100 million. Mickelson is ranked 13th on golf’s lifetime earnings list. Furthermore, he is one of just eight sports players who have earned $1 billion. Phil Mickelson has also made a lot of money from brand sponsorships. From 2019 to 2020, he earned $40 million from agreements. Sponsors like KPMG, ExxonMobil, Titleist, Ford, Enbrel, Callaway, Amgen, Grayhawk, Rolex, and Intrepid Financial Partners contributed significantly to his money balance.

He also endorsed Barclays from 2001 until 2016. In 2018, Mickelson earned $9 million in “The Match” against golf superstar Tiger Woods. In 2022, Mickelson signed a $200 million contract with LIV Golf.

Phil Mickelson’s tournaments won

The lefty has had a great deal of success in his golf career. Mickelson won his first PGA Tour tournament in 1991, the Northern Telecom Open. At the time, he became just the fourth amateur to win a PGA tournament. Mickelson has won six majors, including three Masters, two PGA Championships, and one Open. The US Open is the only major he hasn’t won.

Mickelson has 39 top-10 finishes in majors, including 29 top-5 finishes. In 2018, he won the WGC-Mexico Championship, ending a nearly five-year drought. The following year, he won the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, his 45th career PGA championship. Later, he competed in the Ryder Cup during this period, and he was a member of the winning teams in 1999, 2008, and 2016.

Phil Mickelson won the PGA Championship in 2021, his sixth major championship overall and first tour victory in over two years. By doing so, he became the oldest major event champion in PGA history, at the age of 50.

In 2012, Phil Mickelson was inducted to the World Golf Hall of Fame. Mickelson finished tied for second place at the 2023 Masters, after starting the final round 10 strokes behind the leader. Phil shot 65, matching his Augusta low from nearly 27 years ago. Currently, he is one of the world’s most popular and successful professional golfers.
