Following her divorce from legendary New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady, famed supermodel Gisele Bündchen denied this week that she cheated on Brady while they were still together.

Amid speculation that Bündchen had entered into a relationship with her jiu-jitsu trainer, Joaquim Valente, while she and Brady were still together, Bündchen told Mattie Kahn of the New York Times, "That is a lie."

Last month, Russ Weakland of the Daily Mail reported that a source had suggested Gisele and Valente began dating before she and Brady were divorced, saying: "If she wants to have people think she has been dating Joaquim only since June, so be it, but they have been together longer and they aren't taking it slow. Tom has accepted it."

Per Weakland, Bündchen and Valente were first photographed together two weeks after her divorce with Brady was finalized in November 2022.

While Bündchen still hasn't confirmed that she is dating Valente, she told Kahn that she is indeed in a relationship, saying: "This is the first time I am seeing someone that was a friend of mine first. It's very different. It is very honest, and it's very transparent."

Bündchen also further addressed the cheating rumors, suggesting that many women unfairly face similar allegations after getting out of relationships:

"This is something that happens to a lot of women who get blamed when they have the courage to leave an unhealthy relationship and are labeled as being unfaithful. They have to deal with their communities. They have to deal with their family. Of course for me, it just happens to be a little bit amplified."

Regardless of the timeline, Bündchen has moved on and is enjoying life after the breakup, and the same can potentially be said for Brady, who has been photographed with other women since the divorce.

Brady and Bündchen began dating in 2006 and got married in 2009. They went on to have a son and daughter together.

After playing 20 seasons for the Patriots and winning six Super Bowls, Brady won his seventh Super Bowl in his first season with the Bucs in 2020.

Brady initially retired after the 2021 season, but he changed his mind and returned for the 2022 campaign. It was during that season, which was Brady's last, that he and Bündchen announced their divorce.
