TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Detroit Lions cornerback Cameron Sutton is wanted for domestic violence in Hillsborough County, according to the sheriff’s office.

An active arrest order from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office lists a charge of domestic battery by strangulation.

The order lists an offense date of March 7.

The sheriff’s office said officers were called to a home in Lutz at about 5 a.m. where Sutton and a woman were having an argument that became physical.

The woman ended up with bruises to the head, neck and upper body, according to deputies.

News Channel 8 received a copy of the warrant from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office on Wednesday afternoon, however the entire warrant was redacted except for Sutton’s basic information.

The sheriff’s office said numerous attempts have been made to locate Sutton, but they’ve not had success.

“We became aware of the ongoing legal situation involving Cam Sutton this morning,” the Lions said in a statement to News Channel 8. “We will continue to monitor the situation and will not have further comment at this time.”

Sutton may be in a Jeep Wagoneer with Florida license plate AZ33QB.

Sutton played in 17 games for the Lions in 2023 after spending the first six years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
