Greta Van Fleet will be in Bethlehem this summer to kick off this year’s Musikfest.

Festival officials announced Wednesday that the rock band will perform Aug. 1 at the Wind Creek Steel Stage at PNC Plaza.

The band will perform with guest The Beaches as part of the festival’s preview night show.

Tickets, which cost $45-$109, went on sale for ArtsQuest members Wednesday morning and go on sale for the general public 10 a.m. Friday.

Greta Van Fleet, known for songs such as “Highway Tune” and “Light My Love,” has performed in the Lehigh Valley before. The group played in 2022 at PPL Center.

The group is touring through September, according to its website. Its latest album, “Starcatcher,” released last summer.

With Wednesday’s announcement, most of the headliners for this year’s festival have been announced. The group joins eight other headliners announced for the 10-day festival. The list so far is:

  • Greta Van Fleet: Aug. 1
  • Shinedown: Aug. 3
  • Jowell & Randy: Aug. 4
  • Old Dominion: Aug. 6
  • Lynyrd Skynyrd: Aug. 7
  • Black Eyed Peas: Aug. 8
  • Big Time Rush: Aug. 9
  • Ludacris: Aug. 10
  • ZZ Top: Aug. 11

This year’s festival, its 41st one, follows a record year for Musikfest. Last year, it set record attendance: Officials estimated 1.3 million people attended the 10-day festival, which takes place in both the North and South sides of the city. The previous record attendance of 1.24 million was set in 2022.

This year’s festival takes place Aug. 2-11. Tickets for the previously announced headlining performances may be purchased at musikfest.org.
