Springfield man indicted for handgun possession after felony conviction

SPRINGFIELD — A federal grand jury has indicted a Springfield man on a charge of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.

Robbie Delgado, 25, was indicted on the one count and was arraigned in U.S. District Court in Springfield Friday.

According to court documents, Delgado was detained and found to have a Beretta .380 handgun in his possession after he had been convicted of a felony.

The charge carries a maximum prison term of 10 years, followed by up to three years of supervised release and a $250,000 fine.
