While nearly everyone has heard or seen an Apple Vision Pro in action by now, whether they’re an Apple fan or not, there are many of us who are still on the fence about whether we’d actually use one.

After all, Apple’s virtual and augmented reality headset is pretty expensive. At $3,499, not everyone is willing to spend that much money for a product we aren’t sure we’re going to like.

But if you’re still unsure if buying one is the right decision for you, read on for seven good reasons to get the Apple Vision Pro.

Take Entertainment to Another Level

By far, the most incredible feature of the Apple Vision Pro is the two displays right in front of your eyes. Both displays have an ultra-high-resolution display system that gives you a better resolution than a 4K TV for each of your eyes.

Such beautiful displays make the Vision Pro the perfect companion for movie nights, although you’ll have to watch those movie by yourself.

But that’s not all. Besides having that high-resolution system, you can also adjust the size of the movie to whatever you like. You can have a screen as big as your wall and watch any movie you want.

Granted, you won’t find a built-in app for every streaming service. For starters, Netflix and YouTube decided not to create an app for the Vision Pro, nor even let their iPad apps run on it. However, you can still watch those through the built-in Safari browser, plus other streaming services like Apple TV+ and Disney+ have eagerly embraced it, with dozens of shows that make the most out of the headset.

Increase Your Productivity

The best part about the Vision Pro is that it isn’t just for entertainment; you can also use it to become a more productive person.

We’re not talking about working just with the Vision Pro; unfortunately, typing on its virtual keyboard feels like a punishment. However, you can use it quite effectively with your Mac.

This is because you can wirelessly connect your Vision Pro with your Mac, taking control of your screen in an augmented reality space. Granted, you can’t have multiple monitors for your Mac yet, but you can open other apps to help you stay focused and work without any interruptions.

Play Games Like Never Before

Although you won’t find as many games on the Vision Pro as you can on competing headsets or devices, the games you can play feel immersive and fun.

For instance, you can play Fruit Ninja like you’ve never done so before. You can also install other games that are available on the iPad from the App Store.

But that’s not all; if you like Death Stranding, you should be able to play the game with your Vision Pro in the near future. Death Stranding is one of the most beautiful games available, and the atmosphere in the Vision Pro should feel like nothing you’ve ever experienced.

Use Amazing Native Apps

While most of the native apps you’ll find for the Vision Pro are from Apple, you can still use them to make the most out of your day.

For instance, imagine putting something in the oven and setting a timer on your Vision Pro so you don’t burn your house down. Granted, you should never use your Vision Pro to cook, but this way, you can keep that reminder in the back of your head at all times, literally.

Not only that, but there are other useful apps to help you learn, be more productive, and even manage your budget without taking the headset off.

Use Your Apple Vision Pro for Privacy

One of the things that makes the Apple Vision Pro great — or any other VR headset, for that matter — is how private it is. As long as you don’t have your volume cranked up, you can privately watch movies, play any game, and do whatever you want without people knowing about it.

This makes the Vision Pro a great addition for a long trip. Of course, people might look at you funny, but they won’t be able to snoop around.

You’ll Always Be Ready for Meetings

One of Apple’s selling points for the Vision Pro is the “Persona” feature. This lets you create a digital replica of yourself just by doing a few scans of your face.

At the time of writing, the Persona feature is still in beta, and, to be honest, the avatars you create look a bit creepy, although Apple is improving them with every visionOS update.

Nevertheless, if you’re someone who’s always hoping for digital meetings, the Vision Pro might be a great buy for you.

The reason is that once you create the Persona, you don’t need to change it. This means that, as long as you are presentable when you create your Persona, people won’t be able to tell that you’re actually in your sweatpants when you’re in a meeting. You’ll always look elegant and ready for any meeting.

The Apple Vision Pro Is the Future (Probably)

It seems that Apple is betting heavily on the Apple Vision Pro. Not only is it the company’s newest product since the AirTag — which wasn’t nearly as impressive — but virtual reality is starting to become more and more mainstream.

Additionally, Apple is reportedly trying to focus less on the iPhone to make other products stand out. The company doesn’t want to rely on the iPhone all of its life, and the Apple Vision Pro might be the best opportunity it has to reinvent itself.

Whether you want to get ready for the future or get a chance to see what Apple has in store, the Apple Vision Pro might be a good place to start.

Are You Getting the Apple Vision Pro?

At the end of the day, the Vision Pro is far from perfect. Not only is it heavier than it should be, but it also lacks other things to justify a $3,500 product.

Still, if you’re thinking of getting a VR headset, there’s probably no better option than the Vision Pro if you’re part of the Apple ecosystem. You’ll get a great, premium device that, while it’s not perfect, already has a lot of cool things that you won’t find anywhere else.
