Dick Clay selected to 2024 class of Arkansas Sportscasters & Sportswriters Hall of Fame

JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - A KAIT legend earns another accolade.

Dick Clay is in the 2024 class of the Arkansas Sportscasters & Sportswriters Hall of Fame. He will be enshrined posthumously on June 21st in Jonesboro. Additional details will be announced later this spring. Charlie Jones, Grant Hall and Charlie Cromwell are the other 2024 honorees.

Clay served as KAIT Sports Director from 1970 until 1998. He created Football Friday Night, hosted countless Arkansas State coaches shows, and so much more. After retirement, Clay hosted the Dick Clay Sports Magazine, a program focused on the outdoors
