Popstar Dua Lipa is set to perform at the BRIT Awards tonight, with three nominations meaning she could net a trio of gongs too. The One Kiss singer, 28, is one of our biggest stars but she's also picked up a few rivals in the music industry along the way.

Last autumn, it was reported Selena Gomez had unfollowed the former model on Instagram but the US star was quick to deny a fallout. "It was an accident," insisted Selena. "I was just cleaning up some of my Instagram. Then somebody called me and was like: 'What happened with Dua?!'"

The Disney star turned pop sensation, 32, quickly refollowed Dua and the pair went on to positively comment on each other's social media. But Dua also has a rumoured "silent rivalry" with singer Rita Ora.

The stars have a lot in common on paper: both have Albanian heritage, hailing from Kosovo and their grandfathers were even pals back in the day. The pair have even dated the same man, with Dua linked with French filmmaker Romain Gavras last year and Rita dating Romain back in 2020 for six months.

While Barbie star Dua and Rita have been reticent to speak publicly about their alleged beef, said to have been caused by being constantly compared, American singer Bebe Rexha previously told how she had tried to act as a "peacekeeper". "I don't know what's really going on there or what the drama is," said the US singer, who also has south-east European heritage.

"I've tried to always be the peace-keeper and bring the girls together. For me, I would really love to do something together but I'm not sure that will ever happen. And I won't say any more about that."

At the start of the year Rita, who wed filmmaker Taika Waititi in 2021, seemed keen to move on from any previous ill feelings. The star said she would love to collaborate with fellow Albanians Bebe, fellow Albanian star Ava Max and Dua, who is now dating British actor Callum Turner. "It would be great if we all did something great together," she insisted.
