Danville Public Schools releasing early on solar eclipse day
DANVILLE, Va. (WFXR)– Danville Public Schools announced their schools will release early on Monday, April 8 due to the solar eclipse.
The school district says schools will release early with the safety and well-being of students being their top priority.

The early release schedule is as follows:
Middle Schools and RISE: 11:10 a.m.
Elementary Schools: 11:40 a.m.
High Schools, Activ8, and Pre-K: 12:15 p.m.
