Man dead after veering off highway, hitting tree in Mississippi

OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - An Oxford man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Lafayette County, Mississippi.
According to Mississippi Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Highway 30 around 9:54 a.m. Thursday.
Michael Holmes, 52, was driving when his car ran off the road and hit a tree. He died at a local hospital.
MHP is investigating the crash.
