Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid made a five-word demand about Kate Middleton.

The presenter took part in a heated debate on the ITV morning show alongside co-star Martin Lewis, Andrew Pierce and The Mirror's Kevin Maguire. They discussed the recent clip of the Princess of Wales visiting a farm shop with Prince William. It came after she underwent abdominal surgery earlier this year, which has seen her take a step back from royal duties.

Fierce social media speculation caused conspiracy theories over Kate's whereabouts, which was sparked further after the princess admitted to “editing” her Mother's Day photograph. During Good Morning Britain, the debate focused on how the speculation has continued following Kate's farm shop visit.

Susanna urged viewers: "What more do you want?" She kicked off the discussion by sharing how she was still being asked if it was really Kate in the video. The presenter said: "Serious and sensible people were asking me, you don't really think that's her? Yes! That is her, what more do you want? I tell you what, if it wasn't her, Kensington Palace would have come straight out and said that's a stunt, that's a gimmick, that's someone else, that's an impersonator. It is her."

Martin added: "I have struggled with the whole thing. Woman has operation and wants to keep it private and have some time to recover. What's wrong with that? Give her some time to get better, whatever she's had done, which is non of my business, just give her some time to get better."

Many online users have branded the video of Kate and William a "fake" with comments asking if the royal family have used a body double in place of the princess. Journalist and screenwriter Jemima Goldsmith has slammed the online speculation. She wrote: "I fear that all the Kate and William 'jokes' on social media and especially the Stephen Colbert material are going to seem cruel & regrettable with hindsight. It’s too easy to forget especially on Twitter that these are real people."

Cricketer Kevin Pietersen has also come to the defence of Kate and William as he branded them the "most wonderful parents and as normal/humble as they come" and blasted those indulging in conspiracies theories. Kevin told his 3.9million followers: "The conspiracy theories around Kate are absolutely absurd! We see W&K most days and in the last couple days too! It beggars belief that people would be so ridiculous and cruel in writing BULLS**T on this platform that are out and out lies!

"W&K are the most wonderful parents and as normal/humble as they come. Let K who is recovering from an operation recover. Leave her and her beautiful family alone!!!!" Ensuring Kate and William will see his show of support, Kevin tagged in the couple's official Twitter account and added: "cc @KensingtonRoyal."
