(WQOW) -Â Area teams spent Saturday sprinting, throwing shot put and scoring points at two prep track and field meets.
More than 30 teams took part in the Northern Badger Classic - Small Schools meet at UW-Stout. Rochester Lourdes (MN) won the girls team title with 48 points, three points ahead of second place Cameron. Highlights from the girls meet included a win for Barron's Hailee Halverson in the 55-meter hurdles and Inez Schmid's win for Cameron in the mile run.

Saint Charles (MN) won the boys meet while Prescott took 2nd. Boys highlights include Cole Arens' win in the boys mile run for Pepin/Alma and Keinin Miller's win for Elk Mound in the boys 200-meter run.
Elsewhere, teams from Cadott, Durand, Blair-Taylor and Independence/Gilmanton competed at the Cashton Indoor Invitational in La Crosse. Cadott finished 6th in the girls standings and Durand finished 7th. Westby won the girls title while Kickapoo/La Farge won the boys title.
