METEOROLOGIST MATT MILOSEVIC OUTSIDE OF A GUSTY SOUTHEAST BREEZE ARE MONDAY WEATHER IS GOING TO BE PRETTY NICE. SEVEN DAY FOR THE AFTERNOON. HIGH. THAT’S AFTER MORNING STARTS THAT ARE ALREADY MUCH MILDER THAN YESTERDAY. WE’RE GOING TO HOLD IN THE LOW 50S THROUGH THE RUSH HOUR AND THEN CLIMB OUT OF THOSE 50S INTO THE 60S, 63 MIDDAY AND AGAIN MAKING A RUN TOWARDS 70 DEGREES AS WE MIX IN A LITTLE BIT OF SUNSHINE THROUGH THE CLOUDS, THROUGH THE DAY. NOW WE DO TURN OUR ATTENTION TO THE LIKELIHOOD OF SHOWERS AND WINDS THAT COULD GET QUITE GUSTY INTO TONIGHT. THAT’S GOING TO BE OUR MAIN WEATHER IMPACTS. MID 50S THOUGH FOR LOWS, SO WE CONTINUE TO BE MILD, BUT NOT ONLY RAIN BUT SOUTHEAST WINDS 15 TO 25. THAT’S STEADY I THINK SOME GUSTS COULD GET UPWARDS OF 40 AT TIMES, ESPECIALLY IN SOME OF THE STEADIER SHOWERS. A LOT OF WIND ENERGY WITH THE STORM SYSTEM BUILDING OUT TOWARDS THE WEST ON THE COLDER SIDE OF THINGS, IT’S BLIZZARD TYPE CONDITIONS INTO PORTIONS OF THE CENTRAL PLAINS. EVEN AN OUTLOOK FOR SEVERE WEATHER FARTHER OFF TO OUR SOUTH AND WEST FOR US, I THINK IT IS MAINLY GOING TO BE A GOOD SCATTERING OF SHOWERS INTO TONIGHT. PERHAPS A FEW RUMBLES OF THUNDER, BUT WE’RE DRY THROUGH THE DAY. HERE WE ARE MIDDAY. NOTICE THERE’S A FEW BREAKS IN THOSE CLOUDS FROM TIME TO TIME, AND THAT WILL HELP GET THOSE TEMPERATURES UPPER 60S TO NEAR 70 INTO THE AFTERNOON. WE’RE STILL DRY AT 5:00 AND THROUGH MOST OF THE DINNER HOURS, BUT AS WE HEAD THROUGH THE LATE EVENING TIME FRAME, NINE, 10:00 AND BEYOND, WE START MOVING IN RAIN CHANCES FROM WEST TO EAST ACROSS THE AREA. THERE MAY BE A FEW EMBEDDED RUMBLES OF THUNDER HERE, BUT THIS IS MAINLY JUST SOME PLAIN OLD RAIN AND AT TIMES SOME GUSTY WINDS THROUGH THE OVERNIGHT AND INTO TOMORROW MORNING AS WE GET MIDDAY AND INTO THE AFTERNOON TOMORROW, WE’LL STILL HAVE SOME SOGGY SHOWERS, BUT WE START TO WATCH. IT DOESN’T LOOK LIKE MUCH, BUT ANYTHING THAT DEVELOPS ALONG THE IMMEDIATE COLD FRONT COULD REALLY CONTAIN SOME STRONG WIND GUSTS, SO WE’LL WATCH THAT CLOSELY. I DON’T SEE THERE BEING A TON OF ACTIVITY ON THIS FRONT, BUT NOTICE THERE ARE SOME HINTS THAT WE’D HAVE A COUPLE OF SHOWERS THERE THROUGH THE LATE AFTERNOON. ONCE WE GET THE FRONT ON THROUGH, WE’LL START TO FEEL THE COOLER WEATHER, BUT WE’RE DRYING OUT BY WEDNESDAY. AFTER 70 TODAY AND TOMORROW WE’RE JUST 56. WEDNESDAY LOWS IN THE 30S WEDNESDAY NIGHT INTO THURSDAY MORNING. BEFORE WE START TO SEE THOSE NUMBERS CLIMB BACK THROUGH THE 60S, THURSDAY AND FRIDAY 70S FOR THE EASTER WEEKEND. BUT WE DODGE A FEW MORNING SHOWERS SATURDAY AFTERNOON. HIGHS GO TO 75, AND OUR NEXT ROUND OF IMPACT WEATHER WILL COME WITH AT

Weekly weather planner: Mild temperatures, high pollen and winds, a little rain in Louisville area

The first full week of spring will bring warmer temperatures to the area, along with gusty winds at times.

It’s going to be a mild and windy start to the week in Louisville. If “wind-driven pollen” was an actual forecast, that’s what we’d call for.The pollen count has already been high, and the weather this week won’t help much. We can blame the trees for all the sneezing and stuffed-up noses. Monday will be partly sunny, breezy, and mild, with temperatures climbing into the upper 60s to near 70. Winds could gust to 30 mph at times. Impact weather arrives Monday night as showers move into the area. Some rumbles of thunder can’t be ruled out, especially south. Most of the rain ends Tuesday morning, however a few showers will remain possible during the afternoon or evening. Some clearing is also possible, with highs once again close to 70. One of the big stories on Tuesday will be the gusty winds between 40-50 mph. Temperatures cool off a bit for the middle of the week but then start to warm again by the end of the week. Here’s the seven-day forecast.
