Rose-Hulman students visit local schools to teach programming

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) - Students at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology are sharing their passion for computing and technology with local kids.

It's part of a partnership with the Vigo County School Corporation's Lost Creek and Terre Town elementary schools.

Students at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology are sharing their passion for computing and technology with local kids.

Rose-Hulman students in the Programming in the Community course go to these schools weekly to teach kids simple programming exercises.

Leaders at Rose-Hulman and VCSC call it a win-win partnership.

There are 30 students currently visiting 15 classrooms this spring.
