A report into the case of triple killer Valdo Calocane, who brutally stabbed Irish student Grace O'Malley-Kumar and two others to death, has called for a review of murder laws following an outcry from victims’ families over the decision to allow the Nottingham killer to plead guilty to manslaughter.

Inspectors found the UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) complied with the law when they accepted Valdo Calocane’s guilty plea to manslaughter by diminished responsibility.
